£45-55k + bens – flexible working policy – Nr Holborn, Central London
Well established retail business in the high value accessories sector with a c£2.5m TO (which could double in the next few years) seek FM to work with the owner / MD.
This is a sole charge, hands on role with some invoicing support from some of the other 30 staff. The business sells to the general public and handles up front payment for some 50-80 transactions a day. Reconciling this to the bank is key and the business uses Xero to manage finance transactions.
The MD is looking for a pragmatic individual who can act as council to him by taking control of all the back office banking, invoicing, payroll, Xero entries and liaising with the external accountants.
If you can budget, forecast and produce cash-flow forecasts that would be hugely helpful. You will also be able to get involved in improving the management reporting of the operations.
This role could suit a parent returner to work, a more experienced accountant looking for a hands on steady role or a career senior book-keeper or FM. SME experience and an adaptable approach is more important than qualifications.
My client can adapt the hours and days in the office for an individual, although being in regularly in the first month to get to know everyone is essential.
