Hampshire based client with 100% remote work – £45-55k package DOE Neg

Modern digitally savvy accounts practice, due to business growth, seek an Accounts Outsourcing Manager for their client outsourced offering.

Ideally you will be part or fully qualified and enjoy staff management as well as looking after your own portfolio of clients. 

My Hampshire client operates a permanent, modern working from home culture. They are open to hiring right across the UK and will get the team together on a 1/4rly basis, relying on zoom, the internet and the phone on a day-to-day basis.  Home based, the position is full time, with flexible working around core hours of 10am-4pm. There is no fixed start or end time each day. True work-life balance!  My client are hopeful to hire someone who has enjoyed working at home and is being pushed back into the office full time and does not want to do this.

The outsourced finance team work to help clients thrive by providing them with meaningful financial information at their fingertips.   You’ll have extensive experience of bookkeeping and/or management accounting and love dealing with people as you’ll have a lot of contact with business owners, answering queries and providing them with management accounts, all completely remotely using the latest technology.

  • Building and maintaining great relationships with clients, helping them run a slick finance operation and answering their queries day-to-day
  • Keeping the client’s accounts up-to-date, so they always know how their business is performing and can make decisions
  • Processing management journals, such as prepayments, depreciation and accrued/deferred income
  • Running monthly reports and preparing Management Accounts
  • Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly management reports is essential
  • Using your VAT knowledge to advise and prepare VAT returns, ensure deadlines are met
  • Using software such as Xero and Dext, as well as packages such as Google sheets
  • Working with the other teams internally to ensure delivery of a smooth and collaborative client service 

To be successful in this fast-paced, ever-evolving role you will need the following:

  • People Management experience
  • A love for supporting and training people
  • Be process-driven, ensuring all processes are followed and documented
  • A high level of technical bookkeeping expertise
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Xero
  • An understanding of other Xero apps such as Dext
  • Extensive bookkeeping/accounting experience, either in an accountancy practice or in industry
  • An AAT, ACA or ACCA qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A passion for connecting with clients, and an ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • A positive, collaborative, team working approach
  • Passion to make a difference to clients and internally with colleagues
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload

The advertised salary range is wide as the lower end will be more appropriate for AAT / part-qualified or QBE candidates, while the higher quartile for fully qualified and the top end for fully qualifieds with staff management ability.
